Botanical Name: Cinnamomum cassia

Traditionally used to ease minor digestion issues and to support healthy bones and joint function.

Cassia Organic Essential Oil has a warm scent due to its 1% to 2% volatile oil, which is mainly responsible for the spicy aroma that is similar to Cinnamon. It is a strong top note.

The first recorded use of Cassia Oil, also known as Bastard Cinnamon and Chinese Cinnamon, was in China and dates back to the Han Dynasty (200 BCE - 200 CE). In Exodus 30:23, Moses was ordered to use both Cinnamon (Kinnamon) and Cassia (Qesia) together with Myrrh, Sweet Calamus and Olive Oil to produce a holy oil with which to anoint the Ark of the Covenant.

Our Cassia comes from carefully tended trees located in China.
